Contribution to conservation and recovery of federally listed threatened and endangered species is an important goal of this LMP. Trends in occurrence or abundance of these species will be monitored along with levels of management activities implemented for the purpose of achieving recovery. Some threatened and endangered species have been selected as MIS because of their critical dependence on national forest management for recovery.
